Please read the following policy carefully before booking your Signature Brow SPMU appointment. By booking your appointment, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these terms.
1. Cancellations & Rescheduling
Signature Brow SPMU appointments are specially reserved for you and require significant preparation and dedicated appointment time.
A minimum of 48 hours' notice is required for any cancellation or rescheduling.
Cancellations or rescheduling requests made less than 48 hours before your appointment will be treated as a late cancellation/rescheduling.
In these circumstances, your appointment will be lost and any booking fee/deposit paid will be non-refundable and non-transferable.
A new appointment will require a new booking and new booking fee/deposit.
Failure to attend your appointment without notice will also result in the appointment being lost.
Arriving significantly late may mean that the treatment cannot be completed safely or to the expected standard, and the appointment may be considered forfeited.
I understand that unexpected circumstances can happen. However, the 48-hour policy applies consistently because last-minute cancellations and changes prevent the appointment from being offered to another client.
2. Treatment Results
Signature Brow SPMU is a semi-permanent cosmetic tattoo treatment, and results are individual to every client.
The final healed result can be affected by factors including, but not limited to:
Skin type and condition
Natural brow colour and hair density
Skin undertones
Age and lifestyle
Hormonal factors
Healing response
Aftercare
Sun exposure
Smoking
Skincare products and treatments
Medication or medical conditions
Previous brow tattooing or permanent makeup
Individual pigment retention
For this reason, no exact colour, saturation, shape, symmetry or healed result can be guaranteed.
Every client's skin retains pigment differently, and the healed result may differ from the appearance immediately after the treatment.
3. Colour, Shape & Symmetry
During your appointment, your brow shape will be carefully mapped and discussed with you before the procedure begins.
While every effort is made to create balanced and flattering brows, perfect facial symmetry cannot be guaranteed, as natural facial structures are rarely perfectly symmetrical.
The healed colour may also appear different from the colour immediately after treatment. Brows can initially appear darker, warmer, sharper or more defined before softening and settling during the healing process.
The initial result is not the final healed result.
4. Longevity
The longevity of Signature Brow SPMU is approximate and varies from person to person.
Although SPMU is designed to fade gradually over time, there is no guaranteed timeframe for how long the pigment will remain visible.
Longevity can be influenced by individual skin characteristics, skin type, skincare, sun exposure, lifestyle, hormonal factors, pigment retention, previous SPMU and other personal factors.
Any timeframe discussed during consultation or provided in treatment information should therefore be considered an estimate only, not a guarantee.
5. Healing & Aftercare
Aftercare instructions will be provided following your treatment.
The client is responsible for following the recommended aftercare instructions carefully throughout the healing process.
During healing, the brows may go through several stages, including appearing darker, becoming dry or flaky, temporarily appearing uneven, and becoming lighter before the colour settles.
Do not pick, scratch or remove any flaking or peeling skin.
Failure to follow aftercare instructions may affect pigment retention, healing and the final healed result.
Please contact me if you have concerns during the healing process. However, normal changes during healing do not necessarily indicate a problem with the treatment.
6. Responsibility After Leaving the Studio
Once you leave the studio, you are responsible for protecting and caring for the treated area and following the aftercare instructions provided.
The artist, M.ink By Mara, cannot be held responsible for circumstances, activities, products, environments or actions occurring outside of the studio that may affect the healing or final result.
This includes, but is not limited to:
Failure to follow aftercare instructions
Picking, scratching or removing peeling skin
Excessive sweating or exercise during the recommended healing period
Swimming or exposure to excessive water, steam or heat during healing
Excessive sun or UV exposure
Using unsuitable skincare products on or around the brows
Applying makeup or other products to the treated area before advised
Cosmetic treatments performed around the brow area during healing
Smoking or lifestyle factors
Exposure to contaminants or unhygienic environments
Any other client-controlled factor that may interfere with healing
7. Individual Healing
Every client heals differently.
It is normal for brows to appear stronger, darker or more defined immediately after treatment before gradually softening and lightening.
During the healing process, pigment may appear to fade significantly before gradually returning as the skin settles.
The artist cannot guarantee how an individual's skin will heal, retain or release pigment.
Differences in pigment retention between the two brows can also occur due to individual skin characteristics and natural differences in the skin.
8. Previous Brow SPMU
Clients with previous brow tattooing or SPMU must disclose this before booking.
Previous pigment can affect the colour, shape, saturation and healed result of a new treatment.
Where previous pigment is present, the final result cannot be guaranteed, and in some cases removal or fading of existing pigment may be required before a new treatment can be performed.
The artist reserves the right to decline or postpone treatment if the existing pigment is unsuitable for the desired result or if performing a new treatment could compromise the outcome.
9. Touch-Ups & Additional Work
A touch-up, is highly recommended, to refine, balance or enhance the healed result rather than guarantee a particular outcome.
Any additional appointment or touch-up is subject to the relevant booking and treatment terms.
10. Client Responsibility
It is the client's responsibility to provide accurate information during consultation, including relevant medical, cosmetic and treatment history that may affect the procedure or healing.
Please disclose any previous brow tattooing or SPMU, cosmetic procedures, relevant medication, allergies or other information requested during consultation.
Failure to provide relevant information may affect whether the treatment can safely be performed and may affect the final result.
11. Acceptance of Policy
By booking and attending a Signature Brow SPMU appointment with M.ink By Mara, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted this treatment policy.
You understand that:
• Results vary from person to person.• Longevity is approximate and cannot be guaranteed.• The healed colour, shape, saturation and retention cannot be guaranteed.• Perfect facial symmetry cannot be guaranteed.• A minimum of 48 hours' notice is required for cancellation or rescheduling.• Appointments changed or cancelled within 48 hours are forfeited and require a new booking.• You are responsible for following aftercare instructions once you leave the studio.• Previous SPMU may affect the final result and may require additional work or removal before a new treatment.
